Hamster or No Hamster
A lady at work has 2 hamsters...separate cages...one night the sneaky boy hamster got out of his cage...made his way 2 rooms over to the innocent little girl hamster's cage. So...needless to say...she now has 10 hamsters. And of course she's trying to get people to take them.
I've always kinda wanted one...they're so cute and cuddly. I'm trying to decide if lilly is still a bit too young to get one. I of course do not expect her to clean its cage or remember to feed it. But still. I do expect her to play with it and not let it get lost in her brats/barbie infested room.
So, I'm asking for everyone's input on the question...hamster or no hamster?

That's a tough call. Just be prepared to be on a regular "Hamster Search" around the house. Or just make sure she only plays with it supervised. Anyway...That's my two cents. :o)

Well.....I have had lots of hamsters......die!!! LOl!!
My hamsters always seemed to get out of there cage and we would find them days later dead in the least likely places. One went all the way to the basement and got in the back of the drier. Needless to say it broke the drier and we had to call a repair man. Of course he found a fried hamster. YUK! We had no idea that the hamster broke the drier until the guy found it.
So if you get one make sure it has a cage it can't get out of. We always had the plastic cages with the tunnels and stuff. Well, they love to chew through it. That is why I have gerbils now. They don't do that. :)
Also, they are very, very fast. Make sure it can't get away from you. They're like mice and can fit in to places you would never expect.
I'm not trying to be a downer or anything. Sorry
Good Luck!
