Stuff I remembered...

Here are a few funny things that I remembered....

A few months ago at a Tastefully Simple party, lilly stood up in the middle of the room - and in the middle of the lady's schpeal and said "I'm hungry" Of course that couldn't be all. She told Sharon, the host of the party, that she likes ranch dressing. Sharon glanced my way and said that she thinks they may have some. Then Lil says "I like fish sticks" The child hasn't eaten fish sticks in probably 6 months or more, we're on a chicken nugget kick. The fact is not that she said all this goofy stuff, its that it was in a room full of people, listening to the lady talk about their products. Fun times

Last night, lilly says - I want that for christmas - at one of the commercials on tv. I told her that christmas was already over. She said "you mean it only lasts for ONE day!!!" No...my kid's not spoiled.

A friend at work, Sharon, said she would watch Lil for New Year's Eve. Lilly overheard me telling someone and she said - "It would be GREAT if Sharon took care of me" New word for her is GREAT. Hmmm wonder where that came from.

Christmas fun

Well, we survived Christmas. I need to take an after Christmas vacation just to recover. We left home at noon Saturday, late of course, ran to my uncle's to get the family pictures I left there last weekend. Had to get them because they were part of christmas presents. I fully think that it classifies as something that you made. Besides it took me at least 5 or so minutes to get it in the frame, not to mention getting the hubby and the kid looking decent and both smiling at the same time.

Anyway, next - we went to my aunts, dad's side, did presents - hung out for the rest of the night. Waited for the kiddos to go to bed. Really mine was the youngest, the rest are 15 and 18. Lil wouldn't go to bed without me. Which was a problem because the tradition on Christmas Eve night is to wrap all the presents for the next day. Put a damper on things.

She did get some fun toys though:

This one inparticular was fun. It was a princess crown with a necklace, earrings, and shoes. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. haha

Then we played games - found a new fun game called Apples to Apples. A lady came up to me at target, while i was reading the box, and said "that is a REALLY fun game" Then she said that a week ago she was standing in the same spot I was reading the box and another lady came up to her and said the same thing so she bought it. Maybe I'll have to hang out in the game I'll and tell someone that too...kinda like a pay it forward. ha ha Yes I'm a dork.

So anyway, we spent the night there - some of us went to bed earlier than other. Eh hem...Doug and Charlie.

We got up the next morning, and opened presents from Santa.

We left there and went to my mom's - opened more presents. Went to Doug's Sister's - opened more presents.
Went to my aunts (Step dad's side) - opened more presents.

I'm suprised lilly can move after all that. She maintained her AWAKENESS. She really wasn't bad considering the day we had. She make a haul. Only time I was truely embarrassed was when she opened a present from my aunt. It was Tickle Me Elmo. Which was a fine gift, extremely popular a few years back. Lilly will play with it. BUT...this is the look on her face when she opened it.

Not exactly the most excited thing you 've ever seen.

Smile!

Lilly absolutely loves my cell because it takes pictures. Well, she thinks all cameras take pictures now. And all cameras are digital and she should be able to see the pictures right away.

We went over to Amy's last night to exchange presents. Her mom and dad were there and of course, Alivia! She got ahold of my camera and these are some samples of her lovely photo taking abilities.

Smile Joe! (she actually said that, i the sweetest voice imaginable.)

Attack of the Crabby Lilly

These days are coming more and more often. Apparently if Lil does not go to bed by 9pm when she wakes up in the morning she looses the ability to function. Example..Hey Lil, lets get dressed - her reply "I CAN'T" - Hey Lil, can you maybe just sit up - reply "I CAN'T" - this goes on all morning, getting off the bed, walking to the stairs, walking down the stairs, putting her shoes on, putting her coat on, zipping it up, walking to the door, getting in the car, etc etc.

So, since I will not be home tonight, Daddy has been FULLY warned, If i have to have a morning like that 2 days in a row the fault comes off of me and lilly not getting her to bed in time last night to being his fault for not getting her to bed on time 2 nights in a row. Hey, I don't make the rules. Well, maybe I do, but...

This type of day can not even be fixed by the "Santa does not bring presents to bad little girls."

So, I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Christmas Party #1

So we were getting ready for Doug's company christmas party, I was putting on some lip gloss. Lilly came over, all sorts of sweet. I said "here, let mommy put some lipgloss on you" she says "um, why don't you let me do it this time, you can do it next time" I'm pretty sure I have said that exact same phrase to her on several occasions. Obviously, she doesn't forget anything...ever

Goofy things my kid says
